Can't launch games via hldj? (start & stop button)

it doesn't work for me, tried it on CS:GO,TF2,garrys mod, and dota 2, never works, used to work, but stopped, please help.
- is "Launch game" enabled in options?
- is steam installed properly, including the steam protocol?: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wik ... r_protocol
- does any error message pop up?
