Ok, I figured out why they wouldn't play, but now I have a bigger problem. No matter how low I set the volume to decrease in the converter, in-game it is insanely loud and it only sounds SLIGHTLY better than before.
The song has very heavy bass, could that be why?

I tried the built-in converter, but the songs wouldn't play after I did that.
After I did it the way it used to be done (dPpoweramp audio converter + goldwave) the songs actually played, but the default converter didn't do anything.

I haven't seen a single topic that talked about this. When I open the files up in windows media player, they sound fine, but when I open them in HLDJ in-game in both CS:S and L4D2, they sound atrocious. I've converted them properly, reduced the bass/volume using GoldWave, and have tried playing the ...
