Hi.
I installed HLDJ yesturday - Configured it for CSS and also converted a song to .wav to test and it doesn't work. Everything loads fine, the only problem i'm getting is that it doesn't play the music. I press F1 to play the song and nothing. Can anyone help?
I'm doing everything right, i type la in the console and then press 3 to choose my song - Then enter and then i press F1 and nothing happens... : /
What am i doing wrong? - I'm going to try reinstalling it now and see what happens.
I think it might be something to do with Windows 7 ... I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit.

Re: Music not playing ...
Have you read the sticky (linked near the top of the page)? Your audio files are likely converted incorrectly, test with the sample audio file and read the conversion guide.
Re: Music not playing ...
Some servers are set so HLDJ won't work. Try it on a few different servers and see if it works.
Re: Music not playing ...
I've done everything right. I was using HLSS on Windows XP and everything worked fine.
Tried using HLSS on Windows 7 and now it doesn't work, neither does HLDJ.
Obviously, its something to do with Windows 7, my mic doesn't seem to be opening.
Maybe i need to configure something? Any ideas?
EDIT: Forgot to add, HLDJ works fine for other people on the same server. Just not for me.

Re: Music not playing ...
Can you use your mic regularly? Have you tested the sample wav? Try poking around in Control Panel -> Sound options
Re: Music not playing ...
I don't actually have a mic, but you don't need one to play sounds, right? At least, i didn't need one when i was using Windows XP. Or maybe you do with Windows 7?Renegade wrote:Can you use your mic regularly? Have you tested the sample wav? Try poking around in Control Panel -> Sound options
When i go in the control panel under sound it just says the microphone is not plugged in, and is a disconnected device.
I have tried to test the sample wav and still no luck.
Re: Music not playing ...
theoretically no, but many Vista users have reported they needed to plug in a mic at least once to trigger some setting in the OS, so the same probably goes for 7. There's probably other ways you can do this by poking around in the control panel, I'm not sure what they are, but I'd bet google knows.
