Cant get hldj to play any music...

I can't get hldj to play any music ingame. Hldj and games boot up without problem, even in game console hldj seems to work just fine but when hitting the play-button it only displays that there is coming mic-input from me but still nothing can be heard. I have all soundfiles in right format(triple-checked) and gamefolder and soundfolder are set in right way.
