HLDJ Not Working Properly - Wierd Chipmunk Music Comes Out

I've converted 6 songs into .wav, 8000 hertz, 16 bit, mono, and every time I play those songs on Counter Strike Source the lyrics of the song are messed up. They release these annoying chipmunk versions of the song because when the singer sings, it's very high pitched, squeaky, and very annoying. When I listen to them out of Counter Strike it's fine, it sounds how it should sound. One of the songs on the other hand though were fine.

5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your OS and/or the game? <--- what does this mean? how do u set up applicable options in ur OS? what does OS stand for?
