Issue with Loading

I have the audio files in the correct format, the directory is right, and everything. When I go in game I can get the console commands working. I put in la to list the audio, and I see my files. I tell it to load a file, and it says load successful, but then when I try to play it nothing happens. I check to see if it's in the queue by inputting la again, and it says nothing is in the current. I can't figure out what's wrong...
