Battlegrounds 2 and HLDJ: Nothing happens.

I think I setup HLDJ properly. I have the mod Battlegrounds 2 and I set the game directory to the bg2 folder in my sourcemods folder. When I start the game using HLDJ and open the console nothing related to HLDJ comes up. Well on first run HLDJ detected BG2 but it didn't work then I set it up manually (same location) and it still didn't work.

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you? Yes
2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)? No
3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"? N/A
4-a) After loading one of the sample audio files, perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where? N/A
4-b) If it exists, open it in an audio player: does it sound like the audio file you loaded? N/A
4-c) If it exists, return to the game, and enter the following into console: N/A
5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game? I have a mic and I use it regularly.

Also ever since I had Battlegrounds 2 I always got errors in the console and I don't know if they have to do with not letting HLDJ work but you never know.

If HLDJ isn't showing in console then you've probably got the wrong game directory. First make sure the config files are being created: After starting HLDJ search your Steam folder for "hldj", do several files show up, and if so where?

Thanks for the help. I did the search and there are three files:
hldj_cmd_a.cfg
hldj_cmd_b.cfg
hldj_cmd_c.cfg

They are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\4992257\240\remote\cfg

Those are the configs backed-up by Steam's Cloud service (you might try disabling Cloud to make sure it's not interfering), but the configs you are looking for are generated after starting the game in HLDJ, one of them being "hldj_init.cfg". If they aren't being generated somewhere in your Steam folder (they should show up in the game's "cfg" folder), then the game directory is incorrect, or there was an error writing the file.

Ok I started the game with HLDJ and I still just see only those 3 files. I'm sure I got the directory right.

Try it with another game, see if the problem persists. Then you'll know if it's just specific to Battlegrounds 2.

I tried it with Counter Strike Source and everything shows up in the console. Works perfectly.

If you have teamviewer I wouldn't mind letting you have a look to see what the problem is.
