A question regarding Garry's Mod

Even using the console commands, I can't play any kind of sounds ingame. I heard something of Garry disabling it with no workaround. So.. Is HLDJ disabled for Garry's Mod now?

I'm pretty sure it's using the same server-side cvars as the Source engine, look in the sticky for instructions.

I tried using all the commands in your sticky with sv_cheats enabled and it didn't work
