Screeching and Echo, No Music

HLDJ loads just fine and starts up TF2 on command. It states that HLDJ has loaded successfully.
The console output prompts for further commands after I load a song. There is, however, no song to be heard but an echo from my mic and a loud screeching noise to accompany the echo.
I had attempted to load the audio files but HLDJ does not recognize them and will only load or convert .mp3 files. The .wav's do not show up as a result. The audio as heard through an audio player is fine.
When I type voice_inputfromfile 1; voice_loopback 1; voice_forcemicrecord 0; voice_modenable 1; voice_enable 1; +voicerecord the screech stops, but there is still no song and when I hit F4 (mic off/on) to turn the mic off and then again to turn it back on, the screeching starts again.
Voice normally works just fine.
I downloaded the 64-bit 1.6.02 version.
