HLDJ Not Loading

I have gone through the setup multiple times and HLDJ will not start.

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you? Yes, the game launches just fine through the green-arrow button.
2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)? No. Nothing shows up in console concerning HLDJ. I have tested this with TF2 and CS:S only.

I left out all the other questions because I cannot get past this problem. I have a 64-bit OS and have tried using both versions of HLDJ (x64 first though).

Hope someone can help me out. I must be missing something here that I just can't put my finder on. Thanks in advance.

Start HLDJ, Open up your Steam folder. Search for "hldj", that will indicate where the files are being created. If you have multiple Steam accounts make sure you are starting the appropriate game for the account you're using.

Thanks for the response. I found the issue and it's working now. Appearantly my configs for TF2 are loading from a different steamapps folder that is not my account even though it's the account I'm loading TF2 on. It's loading configs from a folder with a long name of letters and numbers. Is that normal? The folder also contains files for CS:S, Garry's Mod, Half-Life 2, ect. You'd think it should load from my account's folder.

if it's in your steamapps, then no that doesn't seem normal. if it's in a folder named "userdata" with other subfolders containing numbers (I've not seen letters yet) then it's likely the cached data/configs from Steam's Cloud service.

Yeah I don't understand this but this is what I had to load in order for HLDJ to load properly on my account.

The account I am playing on is nowhere near that ridiculous of a name. I don't even own an account named that. I'm taking this over to SPUF.

looks like a 256-bit hash, but I've never heard of Steam hashing usernames locally. maybe it's a new security feature; either way better ask their support.
