Does HLDJ still use voice_inputfromfile command for Source?

I've been off for a long time, last time I where on an update set sv_allow_voice_from_file 0 as default, which made most servers unable to use voice_inputfromfile.

Has there been an update, or does HLDJ use another method?

yes HLDJ uses voice_inputfromfile.
a recent version posted announcements can also playback the sound locally.
