HLDJ for cs 1.6 doesn't play some audio files

Hi
I've recently downloaded and properly configured HLDJ for cs 1.6 and I have also properly converted the audio files to the necessary format (8000hz, mono, 16-bit sample rate).
Most of my files work in-game however some of them don't work at all, even with the proper formats. I tend to get TF2 .wav files and convert them to Goldsrc standard but then they refuse to play; I just hit my play key and it comes up with nothing. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks
