my hldj is not working without a mic, as soon i caoonect myu friends mic it starts to work, but i cannot play any songs without the mic, i dont know voice_input.wav is for but my console simply says unknown command help!!

Did you read and follow correctly the Getting Started section of the manual?
Are you running Vista? (if so, you may need to connect the mic at least once). Make sure you've probably enabled and setup the mic either through Steam's options or the game's.

voice_input.wav is not a command, it's a file located in the game directory (or one level up, for Source games). Do the other HLDJ commands work correctly? (i.e. la, hldjn, hldjp, ...)

yea im running vista, yeah i followed the instruction manual and all hldj commands are working propelrly its just the playing that dosent happen, but when i conect a mic the playing happens.

hmm if it dosent work, might have to work for a mic

It shouldn't be necessary to have a mic plugged in though, you may want to search around the net for mic issues with Vista and Source.
