L4D Lobby function

I just want to suggest that you create a function that allows HLDJ to function in L4D lobbies, as it would make the wait much easier if there was something to listen to.

I don't own a copy of L4D to test on yet (it's much too expensive right now), but from what I recall of the demo, was voice allowed in the lobbies? How is voice recording triggered there? i.e. is it push-to-talk or sensitivity triggered?

Try selecting a song and then entering "playaudio" in console; does this play the song?

I've just tried it; seems to work on a different cvar. I'll take a look and see if I can find out which it is.

Any news on this function? Or does anyone know a workaround for getting HLDJ to work in a lobby/is there any way at all?

I haven't found any cvars yet controlling lobby chat, it's probably a separate voice comm system that isn't tied into the engine.
