Hey i just set up hldj and i had a few problems. I followed the guide and everything, i already know how to convert files and im not having any trouble with that. But when i start a song in game, there is a pause for 2-3 seconds then the song plays, but from like half way past the beginning (im not actually sure if its half way, but it skips a majority of the beginning).
I know its not from the conversion because i play the same file in windows media player and its fine.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Try the sample wav from the sticky after you've read through it.
