Mike Echo When Acivated

Hi, I own TF2 and L4D, and i've been trying to get HLDJ to work on it, but I have a problem.
i've found the directories and converted a song using audacity, i'm pretty sure those steps are correctly done.
but when i play (i used F1) in game the voice icon comes out but it just echoes the mike.
someone similar had the same problem apparently, and i can't find a voice_input.wav anywhere in my computer.

Did you see "HLDJ successfully loaded" in console?
Have you tried the appropriate sample wav from the sticky?

(also, voice_input.wav will only appear after loading a song, and only while HLDJ is active)

by successfully loaded, do you mean that it found the right directory and HLDJ starts the game without crashes?
and yes, i've downloaded the sample wav and used it on multiple servers including mine, but the results were the same.

As in, when the game starts, does the console pop-op? and if so, does the text "HLDJ successfully loaded" appear somewhere in it?

if not, double-check your game directory.
If so, check that voice_input.wav is created after you select a song (perform a search for it in your Steam directory)

that may be the problem, the console does not pop up when the game starts. Even though HLDJ can start the game.
But i've been looking at the game directories, and i'm sure its the right one, and i can't find any other directories that fit. (the green arrow doesn't come out for other folders)
and also, i can't find any HLDJ successfully loaded...

In that case, how were you even able to select a song? no HLDJ commands would have been available.

Anyways, after starting a game, go to your Steam folder and perform a search for "hldj_"
Where do the files show up (if any)?

They should be in your game's "cfg" directory. If so, enter "exec hldj_init.cfg" in console. If nothing happens you may need to re-install the game.
If no files were found, make sure HLDJ is still in the started state.
