I folowed the steps in the manual how to correctly convert the audio file, but when I launched CSS, selected the song, and started it nothing happened. When i stopped the playback i heard a quick shh. I checked if i converted it correctly and It was set to 32-bit. I changed it to 16-bit and saved. I checked again if its correct and when loaded it was back to 32-bit. I keep convertig and coverting but it always comes back to 32-bit.

Audacity tends to display 32-bits even though it's actually 16-bit, check the file properties in Windows to be sure.

Here's the fix by me:
Before we begin make sure to update your version of audacity. This is a common problem among outdated distros.
Step one: before doing ANYTHING else to the sound file open it in audacity. Select the ENTIRE track. Go to the 'Effect' tab.
Step 2: Grab a Beer, If you don't drink grab some chips
Step 3: Under effects go to change speed
Finally enter in the value: -25 for percent
Continue to edit the track according to the manual. When played on your computer it will be rediculously slow, but in game it will play normal speed
Hope this helps

there's no need for a "fix", it's a 1-step process:
• step 1: follow the instructions in the
manual
