Setup fine, loads file, no sound?

Okay, so I want to start off by saying that I have had HLDJ work before, with no problems. I have since upgraded my computer from Windows XP 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit (and installed a better HDD, but I don't think that will be relevant.) I know that the files are converted properly, as I'm trying to use the same files that worked before.
Specifically, I'm trying to get my sound files to work on Team Fortress 2. I start up hldj and launch the game, and in the dev console it shows the list of songs when I type the "la" command, so I know it's in the right directory. When i select a song I get this:
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/hldj_cmd_b.cfg
Loaded : song_file_name
I can't remember if that's normal but I posted it to be as clear as possible. Anyway, when I hit F1 to play, no sound plays, and not even the mic icon shows up. I've tried this with multiple files.
The game path selected in hldj is ...Steam\steamapps\xenthosis\team fortress 2\tf
My only lead on the problem is that I've seen people on this board mention a "voice_input.wav" file, and to see if it's in the correct directory. Well, I searched the entire game directory, and I could not find a file of that name. I wasn't sure if this is something that is supposed to be installed with TF2 or with hldj, or if I have to create it myself. I tried the search box on the forums to find help, but it told be that my search phrases were too common, so that didn't work.
If somebody could help me solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
