Sound is epic slow.

I have been playing TF2 and really wanted to start micspamming, so I picked up Goldwave and HLDJ. I followed this guide:

I have tried three pieces of music so far. I've also been using the Equalizer due to what type of music it was. But these three pieces of music are very very slow, for some odd reason. Fine outside TF2 in the .wavs, otherwise. A link to anywhere that can help or some advice would really be useful, spent a good 6 hours on this already
Edit: Oh, and if there's anything wrong with the guide posted above, just point it out if you will. I'm new to the whole HLDJ/micspamming thing.
