Hi there, I've got a problem with HLDJ where in DoD, the music isn't playing at all. It lists it in the la command, I'm sure I converted it properly, but it's just not doing anything at all
*edit*
It seems to not play anything in CSS either...shame

When you select a song, what is the console message displayed? And when you attempt to play it, do you hear anything?

Does the mic symbol appear (speaker icon?). If not, voice may not be enabled, check that voice_modenable is set to 1 in console. Also, are you running Vista?

For CSS, check that the Counter-Strike Source folder contains a "voice_input.wav" after selecting a song. If so, the problem probably lies in your game settings, you should re-configure your microphone/sound options to make sure voice is not muted or incredibly low.

I have the same problem, but music i have downloaded after i got HLDJ (eg Mortal Bonkbat or You are a pirate) works. I do have one old audio from the cstrike sounds that works though.
Edit: I just downloaded Rick Ashley - Never gonna give you up and it doesn't work on HLDJ. I guess that whipes that "Old music" theory away.
Edit 2: I just tried them with HLSS and the same results. same songs the work and don't work. Maybe it was a problem with converting.

Your problem is not the same; it lies in improper conversion:
http://hldj.org/manual/glossary.html#hlaudioformat
please next time read the manual before posting and if so, make sure to do it in an appropriate or new topic.

Yeah, I have excatly the same problem. I've done EVERYTHING like in the manual, converted and such. The game where I try is Synergy. I have done this
http://www.hldj.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13 too, but the music doesn't hear at all. I have XP.
EDIT: I tried to play music on CS Source, but it's same problem like in Synergy, no music can be heard.

I doubt that file is the problem (probably keeps track of muted players), but you can delete it if you wish, should be harmless. First try the other suggestions I listed in your topic.
