Hey, it's my first time posting on this forum so...you might find mistakes and stuff...if you don't get what I mean just post a comment below and I will try what I can to update this so you can understand it more :D.

BEFORE YOU START POSTING PLEASE READ THIS
Yes, I've been looking for the answer to this problem for about 1 day so far and still nothing. I've also tried reading the manual and nothing still.

Anyways, here's my problem.

I used "Audacity 1.3" (as said in the manual), to convert my .mp3 songs to .wav. It worked sucessfully and I followed all the steps and stuff. But when I get in-game and tried to start one of those songs, nothing happened. All I could hear was my mic, no music at all.

They said in the manuel to make the "Sample format" to 16-bit. I did that. Then it also said something about making the "Set rate" to about 11000 HZ or 8000 HZ. I DID NOT DO THAT.
If I did that, the songs will be in ultra slow motion and you can't understand anything they're saying. But it DID WORK if I did that.
So I kept it at 44000 HZ or something. It sounded perfectly when I listened to it on Windows Media Player. But it WONT WORK in-game. All I could hear was my mic.

Please help, and please be free to ask questions below and I will try to answer them.

Other details
-Running on a Vista Laptop
-The other songs I got from this website [by other people posting them] worked fine. The song I TRIED TO CONVERT DID NOT WORK for some reason.

FORMATTED ONE

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you?
Yes.
2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)?
Yes.
3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"?
I don't have issues with any of the commands and the console output says that they are playing the song or something. I don't seem to be having any troubles with it.
4) After loading one of the sample audio files, perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where?
Haven't tried that yet.
5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game?
Yes, voice DOES work for me. The song just won't play and they are in .wav format . Read on my first few paragraphs/sentences (before this formatted one)

I used the created-in HLDJ CONVERTER. May NOT be the BEST QUALITY, but it works very well :D
