Re: Steam Voice Quality Update
These are the patch notes taken from the steam client update, right? Unfortunately, no. At least, I think not. This is because Valve is only upgrading voice chat for the actual steam client, which has nothing to do with the in-game voice system, which is what HLDJ needs to use.

You could try enabling that if you haven't already.

Re: F1 not working
You should be able to disable older versions of HLDJ simply by deleting their folders. If that doesn't work, you may need to reinstall the game (in your case CSS).
Next time, remember to make a separate thread.

Re: Cannot play in Multiplayer because of Cvar error
To clarify, do you mean that HLDJ is not working or that you simply cannot play? Because looking at your answers to the sticky questions it really looks like you shouldn't be having any problems... Was there an update for CSS lately?

Re: Cannot play in Multiplayer because of Cvar error
Those errors actually have nothing to do with HLDJ. You should have no problem.

Re: Suggestion: hldj version for Killing Floor x)
I'd be surprised. Probably would need to be done in an entirely different way, meaning it wouldn't be a version of HLDJ so much as an entirely new program. If you want it to happen, you should do some research on Killing Floors voice system, and maybe a little on HLDJ, and see if you can't get the ...

Are you using the latest version (1.6 or higher) ? This used to happen a lot, but should be fixed now as I understand it.

Re: F1 not working
They shouldn't need to be connected, you aren't enabling the hardware, you're enabling the software. Double click one to open it, in the window that pops up there should be an option at the bottom that enables it.
And no problem, I have a lot of free time usually

Re: HLDJ not playing audio.
You should have a few things like "Microphone" that say they aren't plugged in, open them and then enable them at the bottom of the new window.

Re: HLDJ not playing audio.
The in-game option must be on as well, but the windows setting needs to be correct. To find the sound settings, click the "view by" box near the top-right and set it to either large or small icons. There should now be an icon that's just labeled sound. Open that, and then on the recording tab ...

He is not having a problem with playng HLDJ during the actual game; what he wants to know is how he might mute himself during demo playback.

Re: HLDJ not playing audio.
+voicerecord not working could very well be a problem. If you had read the sticky you may have seen this: "5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game? * * If the answer to #5 was ...

Re: F1 not working
Go to where you found those 3 entries, open all of them and make they say "use this device" at the bottom. Also, don't forget to have voice enabled in-game as well.

Re: Selfmuting in demos
I tried but could not find a command for TF2. You could try voice_show_mute and voice_mute (these are commands from left 4 dead 2, they might not work for team fortress 2) voice_show_mute gives you a list of people and a number for each person. voice_mute # (replace # with the number of the person ...

Re: F1 not working
The problem might be related to number 5. Taken from the sticky: "If the answer to #5 was no on both accounts, you may need to configure the recording options for your operating system and the game. These can be found in Control Panel -> Sound -> Recording (for Windows) and Options -> Voice (for the ...
