Problems with BG2

Post by cenzila »

Hi im having alot of problems with the 3rd party source mod Battlegrounds 2. i have the newer version of HLDJ which finds the directory's of the mod automatically. when i start the game up it goes to the right game and in the console Hldj is active. when i try to play a song i can hear what ever is received from the mic. all the music is in the right format and ive triple checked everything, the onlt problem is when i look for the voice_input.wav file it is located not in the Bg2 folder/Sdk 2007 folder but in the sourcemods folder underneath all of the game directory folders. please can you get back to me or i would have to use hlss again as that is very annoying to use. thanks

Where exactly in the SourceMods folder? Keep in mind the current build will only use the correct 3rd-party directory when using Add (not Add All). In either case, you can go back in to setup and set it explicitly to use the correct directory.

Make sure you've followed the directions carefully: those folders are to be specified as the Game Audio Directory (not to be confused with the game directory).
You could try it again, but I'd recommend instead that you download the newest HLDJ (1.5.0), delete the game profile in Setup, and re-add it (the new version will set the appropriate Game Audio Directory for you).

I trust you've read this already?: http://www.hldj.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13

Also, post a screenshot of the game's profile in Setup (with the Advanced tab expanded) and/or upload your settings.hldj file.

Just to say I talked to another player and he said that he was told to put an extra file into the halflife folder
