Plays Sample Wav but not...

Ive got everything set up using the guide and what not but when i converted my songs, none worked. I downloaded the sample file on the page and it worked fine so i thought i must be converting it wrong so i followed the guide using Audacity but i just can't get any songs to play!!! So i tried downlading some of the songs people have posted on here and they work ok so im really not sure what im doing wrong??

When converting i change to 8000, split track, mono, 16 bit PCM and then convert so im not sure what to do next, pritty much looked at every topic in this section :S

Already done it all... thats what i meant by doing the steps like in the visual but nothing seems to be working :/ Im deffinetly converting the music as it says/shows in the help... Puzzled on this one.

Could be some faulty tag data in the file. Upload one of the songs that isn't working for you, I'll give it a look.

Try the file below, all tag data has been cleared. It's as I was saying above: I don't think HL is too fond of tag data.
In the latest releases of Audacity, it should give you the option to modify/remove it before exporting.

That worked alough it was crackly but theres load of topics on that so ill have a look threw them again. Ill try converting it but takin the description and album stuff all out of it and see if it work that way cheers thanks alot for the help

Rightio, need some help again The Sound is really distored when playin any file ive tried, sample and ones you've posted on other peoples threads. Searched threw the threads and tried turning the bass and overall volume threw Equalizer down but nothing seems to help... Any help on this one? Im on vista not sure whether thats the problem.

Oh god im an idiot found the prob it was the servers i was on... even though i tried a few they were all bad, so its fine now. Cheers
