For some reason I can't get the audio to play. Hldj loads correctly and is in the console when I start up Tf2, the songs I have added are there when I check the list audio.
To make sure I havn't made any mistakes converting I downloaded the sample wav. but it still won't play. I've typed playaudio in the console but it still won't work. How do I fix this?

Re: Audio won't start playing
After you've selected a song, is it successful, are any errors displayed in console?
To verify that the song has been loaded: there should be a file "voice_input.wav" in "...\steamapps\<account>\team fortress 2".
--> If it's not there, ensure you've setup the correct game directory in HLDJ; for TF2, it should be: "...\steamapps\<account>\team fortress 2\tf"
--> If it is there, try manually attempting to play it by entering "voice_inputfromfile 1; voice_loopback 1; +voicerecord" into console.
if that doesn't work, ensure that voice is correctly setup in the game (can you use your mic regularly?) or try multiple servers.

No I don't get and errors in the console sais that it has loaded, I can't find the voice_input.wav though. All I see is a file called voice_ban does that have anything to do with this?
I actually don't have a microphone so I don't know if voice is correctly set up and I have tried multiple servers.

I have the same problem. I can't play audio and there is no mic icon, even for my normal mic. What's going on?
Re: Audio won't start playing
@Boomerman, have you verified that the game directory is correct? (voice_ban is unrelated; it stores a list of muted players).
@Sniper, this is likely not the same problem; since your regular mic does not function you'll need to set it up correctly in the game/steam.

Re: Audio won't start playing
I think its in the right directory since when I start hldj then tf2 starts up by itself
Re: Audio won't start playing
True. To be inclusive, after selecting a song, perform a search on your entire Steam directory for "voice_input.wav", just in case you missed it.
Re: Audio won't start playing
Yes the voice input is in my tf2 files, what now?
Re: Audio won't start playing
Where exactly? If it's in the folder "team fortress 2", then it is in the correct location (if not, then the game directory is incorrect), in which case you should verify that voice/mic has been setup correctly for your game and in the OS as well (including drivers).

It's in the Team Fortress 2 folder so its in the right location
