I don't know what's wrong

Post by wenduoy »

I don't know what's wrong but I can't get the audio files to play. I did everything I was told by the manual, HLDJ seems to work fine but when I press my play button all I hear are noises. I've tried multiple servers, multiple files and even the sample file from the forum and I still hear noises only.

Please help.

Have you tried creating your own server?
What game is this for?
What version of HLDJ are you using?
What is your game path?
Do you see "HLDJ successfully loaded" in console?

Yes, I've tried using HLDJ on my own server with no success.
I'm trying to use HLDJ for 1.6 or CZ (but mostly 1.6)
I am using the latest beta version of HLDJ (1.5 I think)
My game path would be My computer/C/Program files/steam/steamapps/(My Steam ID)/Counter-strike/Cstrike, is that right?
And Yes I see the echo in the console along with the sound effect when I start my game. But when I try to play music, I get only noises.

All seems correct.
After selecting a song, check that the file "voice_input.wav" exists in the "cstrike" folder (C/Program files/steam/steamapps/steamid(Your Steam ID)/Counter-strike/cstrike)

You'll want to also make sure voice\mic options are correctly setup for the game (and possibly your OS too).

I can't find the voice_input.wav.
I go in game, choose a song, press my play key and press alt+tab and go into my cstrike folder but I can't find it.

And what mic options should I use?

That's the problem then. And you're sure that HLDJ is correctly started and responsive?

After you start HLDJ and load a song, take a screenshot of the contents of your "cstrike" folder, I'd like to have a look.
Also, what OS are you running?
