HLDJ doesn't play audio ingame

Hello. I have a problem with my HLDJ. It starts up normally and I can add games to it, but when I try to play audio ingame, nothing happens. I've tried pressing the button and typing in playaudio into the console but nothing works. I know I converted them correctly, and I did type in their number before trying to play them. I tried both the beta and the earlier version- still nothing. I'm running Vista Home Premium, 64 bits. Any help?

1) do you have a mic and does it work normally while chatting in-game?
2) what game is this for?
3) verify that "HLDJ loaded successfully" appears in console (without errors)
4) test with the sample wav from the sticky on a local server you've created.
5) After loading a song, open a window to your Steam directory and perform a search for the file "voice_input.wav"
Does it show up, and where?

Also, if the answer to #1 is no, then check that your mic input/recording/voice options are set correctly in the game's options and in your operating system's. Vista is notorious for requiring users to perform extra steps in setting up recording input (i.e. some users have reported needing to plug in a mic at least once before it worked).
Search the web for more solutions/info.

Turns out I just needed to plug in a mic for the songs to work. Thanks, Renegade.
