Problem with Nvidia?
I recently switched to an Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT (also I'm running Vista 64-bit) and for some reason HLDJ chooses one sound file out of my library, seemingly at random and irrespective of what I originally selected, and I can't change it from that, whether by typing numbers or hldjn/p. Has this happened to anyone else?
Re: Problem with Nvidia?
Most likely not a problem with Nvidia (though Vista is notoriously plagued with problems).
What game is this for?
Is "HLDJ successfully loaded" displayed in console with no errors?
Other diagnostics:
1) Before starting HLDJ, go to the "cfg" folder in your game directory (assuming it's a Source-based game, otherwise just go to your game directory), and make sure there are no leftover HLDJ files (i.e. any files starting with "hldj_").
2) After starting HLDJ & game, load an audio file
3) Go to your Steam directory and search for the file "voice_input.wav", does it appear and where? Open it, is it the audio file you expected?
4) Try deleting "voice_input.wav" if it exists, and repeat step 3.
Lastly make sure you game directory is correct.
