Music lags?

Ok, So i go onto hldj and start it
im in the game
But when i play my music the music lags
Ive tryed this on both 1.4.5 and 1.5.0

Also the music is perfect in lan servers

idk what to do

ive done a clean install
but it wworks for like 5 seconds but it keeps resering the proper music settings

the cvar "voice_fadeouttime" should be set to "0", check that it is.
it could also just be the server, or your network settings/ping. It's likely just a server problem, but if it does it on every one, enable "net_graph 3" to display your network statistics (ping,choke, lag) and make sure these are reasonable.

ok ive figured out the problem

it was with the cl_cmdrate and the cl_updaterate

i set them right
they work for a couple of audio plays but they both go back to 67 :S

does anybody know how to stop them going back to default?

Check that you aren't setting these values somewhere in a script file, or that the server isn't setting them for you.
They shouldn't revert, but likewise, unless you have a very strange connection or are playing an HL1 game, the default values should be fine.

I'm not even sure if it is in a .cfg, I'm just saying double-check all your .cfg's to make sure it's not. It's quite possible the problem is being caused by something else entirely (i.e. the game, a server, etc), but since it's not related to HLDJ I can't really help you further.

how do i fix that
