Songs only play for approx. 10 seconds!!! ARGH

I have my HLDJ set up for CS:S and it works for my small sounds like "Surprise Cockfags" and others but when i try play a long song it cuts off after like 10 seconds, but it still keeps on toggling the mic transmit symbol!! plz help
all my sounds and music are correctly formatted for HLDJ and even when i open the songs from my audio folder with iTunes it plays them through, so nothing is wrong with the audio files. WTF is going on!!!!!?????????

EDIT: I have used sound recorder to edit my .wav files, but i dont think it matters, but who knows? i dont

does it really matter which converter i use? i mean i can use sound recorder (the one that comes with windows) and it works fine and all my songs/sounds sound fine, so..

oh yea wen i play the actual file that is linked to HLDJ in media player it works fine so...??
