poor quality music in game

Hey guys, I have a problem with the quality of the music I play in-game. When I start playing the music it is really poor quality and often pauses a lot, but when I listen to the WAV file it sounds normal. I followed the instructions in the rules section but my music still sounds like crap. What am I doing wrong?

Update: I kind of fixed it by reducing the volume, but it still skips a little, though not as often and not as long, and it still sounds a little worse. It doesn't work on some songs but I think that's just because I edited them incorrectly.
