RAM allocation

How much RAM does HLDJ generally use when running and playing music? I keep getting an error when I try to play songs; the game stutters and then crashes, and I get the following assert because apparently the program tried to allocate itself 1.7 GB of RAM:



My processor is dual core, but it is Intel, not AMD; also, I doubt that using the AMD fix (if it were to work) would actually address the problem, which is that Left 4 Dead is saying, "No, fuck you" because apparently there is not enough memory to go around.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Not an HLDJ problem. Wait for them to fix L4D... it's a long line.
