HLDJ low and slow (GMOD)

Post by Luke353777 »

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you? Yes
2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)? Yes
3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"? loading (songname) from (Audio file) and loaded successful
4) After loading a song, perform a search in your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up? where? I have the audio folder in my desktop, which all my .wavs are stored and they all show when I do la in console. I'm sure it's not that.
5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up the appropriate options in your OS and the game? My voice does work, loud and clear.

HLDJ seems to run fine, and I can even play little songs such as hl2_song23_SUITSONG without any problem
Problem comes when I try to play something like heavy_no1
It sounds something like.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Really deep and bassy, ununderstandable and really annoying. And it plays in slow motion for whatever reason.
Sounds like a whale...
I've also coverted youtube vids into .mp3 and than changed those into .wav using poweramp (11khz mono) and they sound similar.
The only thing that changes is the rythm, still plays at an incredibly low tone and really slowly but it follows the rythm of the original music or sound.
I could really use some help on this. Thanks.

You gotta change the rate of the song to 11025 most hl2 songs are already set to that

It seems to have been fixed when I changed the khz to 12... But it's low quality.
How would I do what you said Game Zombie, unless I have to deal with this low quality.
