Problem with playing sounds

I just installed HLDJ, when i go into teamfortress 2 on my own server i can play the ample_src with absolutely no issue but with any other song the symbol for mic input comes up but a can't hear anything and yes the songs are formatted correctly, i have sample as well as some songs a got off HLDJ Songs and some i formatted myself, iv'e triple checked and they are all formatted correctly, i can't find a single difference.
I'm also having a small interface issue, when i go into the console to list audio and try to load a song it says that the song loaded with no problems but when i check there the first slot for songs and a random song is in the next slot, none of the commands will change song, ive tried hldj_next, hldj_restart, loading repeatedly and toggling play with no success which is keeping me from playing even samples now.

First issue is a conversion problem, use the audio converter on the downloads page or check the guide in the sticky for a tutorial and note that any metadata (i.e. id3 tags) should be removed during the export process.
I'm not sure what you're describing for the second issue, post a screenshot or text that is output in the console displaying your problem.
