hldj using wine and steam app on mac snow leapord

I would like to know if this is possible at all and that if it is possible then how should i go about doing. The steam i am using is not the one in wine it is the one for mac. The game i want to use is Team fortress 2.i have tryed just using the console but im getting nowhere please post anything that you think will help.

Last I checked, HLDJ runs fine under WINE so my guess is that the process for setting it up will be the same as Windows. One difference might be that since you are using a native Steam install, the Steam registry keys likely won't exist in your WINE registry (I don't know if WINE is smart enough to look for the key in a Mac-equivalent of a Windows registry) so Add All may take longer to locate your steam directory if you do not specify a game directory.

If you are having a problem, read the stickies and take the appropriate approach.

the steam app is in the mac part not wine does that make a difrence e.g absoluty no registry keys for steam in wine.
Im running only hldj from wine.

hldj is the only thing i ever ran in wine e. g. clean install of wine.

the steam is a native mac app and so is the game i want to use e. g. team fortress 2.
im sorry if I made you think that i was running steam and hldj under wine.

Yes I am aware, that's why I said the keys likely won't exist. See the previous post for the differences that may make.

i have i almost got it to work but i cant get the audio to play all i get is a beep that gets higher in frequecy then 5 seconds later it stops playing.then the only way to make it play again is to restart the enire game.

Yeah, I installed it with Crossover on TF2 for mac, followed the manual, but it doesn't work at all. :/
