No music, just my mic??

Yes

2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)?

HLDJ loaded - some files could not be written ( 1 error ) !
Thats the error I get at the very beginning.

3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"?

4) After loading one of the sample audio files, perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where?
Nope, not at all

5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game?
Yes and No

Instead of it playing music when I press f5 (Key for me to play music) or Delete it just goes to my microphone as if i were talking.. And I just downloaded then new version a6.

happens to me too.

also, after selecting a song, when i type "hldjca" in console it says that theres no song selected and it lists the next song as whichever is first in the list. tried selecting multiple songs but i still have the same problem

Everyone needs to make their own topic. As the sticky says, the first thing to make sure if you are receiving this problem is that you are using alpha7 (or tentatively, the latest alpha).
