Well, I recently just picked up HLDJ. All my friends say it's far better than HLSS, which is what I was using. Well, after I download HLDJ and convert a couple of songs properly, I go in-game to test it out. When I went onto a server to try to play a song, it just started emitting a high pitched squeal. THIS IS FEEDBACK, and I went into my control panel and turned my mic off(my computer had a built in mic.)When I tried it this time nothing happened, it just showed my name in the people talking thing.I have no idea what the problem could be
1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you? Yes
2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)? It says it loaded successfully but there are a couple of what I'm guessing are errors.
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file scripts/sounds/bit.bite.txt
bit.bite, wave,
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file scripts/sounds/gril.growl.txt
gril.growl, wave,
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file scripts/sounds/riar.roar.txt
riar.roar, wave,
GetAllManifestFiles: Unable to load maplist.txt
3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"?]
] 3
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/hldj_cmd_b.cfg
Loaded : Black Sabbath War Pigs
4) After loading one of the sample audio files, perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where?Steam/steamapps/*Steam User*/garrysmod
5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your OS and/or the game?Voice works perfectly
Just some extra info, this is on the game Garry's Mod and I'm using version 1.6.0.a10 32-bit (I've already tried the 64-bit and no dice)

Re: Unknown HLDJ Problem
The server you're on probably has sv_allow_voice_from_file disabled (especially if you notice no one else is able to broadcast audio). As the sticky suggests, it is recommended you test on your own server with this variable enabled, or find one that has.
Note: those errors are unrelated to HLDJ. Also if you are on a 64-bit system, you may as well use the 64-bit version.
