Everything done correctly but still not playing

Post by Ditto92 »

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you?
Yes

2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)?
Loaded successfully with errors

3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"?

(after over 300 songs of searching)

Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/hldj_cmd_b.cfg
Loaded : 01 - judas rising

4) After loading one of the sample audio files, perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where?
I don't have voice_input.wav at all and need one

5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game?
I have a mic but can't talk in any game (HD Realtek Audio Driver mic problem which was reinstalled to fix it and still the same)

Check again for the voice_input.wav file while both HLDJ and the game are still running. HLDJ generates the file on-the-fly, and deletes it when you're finished.

Also when I press the bind to even talk the icon does not appear at all even when I pressed it 1 time. I've been having problem with my mic settings so idk

*Update*
There is no voice_input.wav file in either of them.......can I have one or I have to make one???

Let me try to clarify again. You do not need the voice_input.wav, because HLDJ makes it for you when you play a song. If you were to open this file (using a media player such as WinAmp) you'd hopefully hear the song or sound you loaded into HLDJ. After you've stopped HLDJ, this file should then be deleted. To find it, make sure you have HLDJ running with the game in question, load a song into HLDJ then perform a search in your Steam directory the way you would for any file. But I don't think this is the problem. It seems to me you need to fix your mic settings. Try getting that to work beforehand.

If you are using 1.6.0a7 or a10, I'm going to assume voice_input.wav is not the problem (take a screenshot of your game folder after loading an audio file). Instead, as mentioned, first deal with the input problem, see see the note attached to #5. The mic is not necessary, but misconfigured input settings/drivers may cause the game to disable voice input.

Well just to clarify this....I have a Toshiba Laptop and I've heard that there's problems with them if they have HD Realtek so maybe it might be misconfigured inputs not from me but something (update error)

Ill see what happens so ok (what you mean the note attached to #5?)
