Slow motion with low voice (cs1.6)

Hello, and please help me and reply. I have had this problem forever now. I got sounds from the hldj sound database (very nice indeed) and put it into hldj and started cs1.6 up. Now all is good except when I play the soudns they have a slow motion voice. The sample is not slowmotion nor the sounds i had before those. My friend told me it was converted for css, so I need a way to re-convert it, I just don't know how. I'm not sure if thats the problem itself.
