Hi
i installed hldj a couple of days back for some fun, but today decided to get rid of it. however, I realized that there is no support or specific way to get rid of it that is obvious through the manual. I have tried exiting the program from the taskbar, but I cant seem to get rid of the hldj message pop-up from appearing once I start up l4d. basically, my problem is that whenever I start up left 4 dead, the console opens up and asks me for commands. when I type in 'la', it gives me a music list and the directory of a folder that I deleted when I tried to get rid of hldj. the name of the directory in which the files are located no longer exists... yet it still comes up. on purpose, i went ingame and tried to play audio but no music could be heard. this is a really weird problem, and from what i've read, not many people have expierienced such problems. I have tried endlessly to get rid of the console pop-ups, and i've already deleted all the .cfg files with a hldj prefix but to no success. I just wanna know how I can stop the hldj messages from popping up everytime I start up the game, and how to get rid of hldj from my computer. would really appreciate any help.
thanks,
segadorsevero

Re: Cannot uninstall/get rid of HLDJ
To uninstall HLDJ just delete its folder. If the console commands are still there and you've deleted the hldj .cfg's then it could be something to do with Steam's Cloud restoring them. You can try disabling/re-enabling the Cloud service after you've deleted the configs, and also check Steam's 'userdata' folder which may contain backups of these configs.
