My hldj isnt working?

Ok so this is the problem: I redirect hldj to all the right files, trust me, I used this program like a thosand time before and it worked every single time. Recently I got a new laptop and re download hldj (BTW the new features on it are sick! THe audio converter is just fucking awsome, I LOVE YOU!) Anyway, I did all the game directories manually because the auto one wasnt working properlly. So I start CSS to test it out after i set up everything... When the game starts up it says ll the normal things in the console the hldj usaually says. I make a local server to test it out liek i did before to test new audio files. Heres the wierd part. I went in to the console, typed 3 for the song i wanted, went back i ngame, pressed the hotkey i chose to play the song (F5) and nothing happened. I made sure my mics settings checked out and tryed again. Nothing. if you need screenshots i can post links of pics ill post on tinypic.
