Haunted

Post by Zorak »

I had HLSS before. All was good, but one day I put in a song called "3Days Grace - Animal I've Become". Next day I took it off, but it still played. I put songs on other keys and everything but that was the only song that would play when I pressed the button. I got sick and tired of it so I deleted and uninstalled HLSS and the song.

So I got HLDJ, but the damn thing haunts me! I go to console type in la, press 4. After that I press "F2" (my play key) and guess what? Instead of the song I issued to 4 I get "3Days Grace - Animal I've Become". Now how is it that something I put in my HLSS and deleted play on HLDJ when I didn't even put it in there. This is really weird, I tried the other songs but same thing. I even went and put this command in: bind F3 4 but when I press F3 nothing happens. A guy from another forum told me that it;s because when I create sound files it creates a save file of the song somewhere, but he and I don't know where it is. Do any of you know, is it even true? He said he deleted the file and everything went back to normal, so it must be.

How can I solve this problem? It's really annoying even though it's a nice song.

"voice_input.wav" is the file, but you shouldn't need to delete, HLDJ will copy over it for you. Just make sure your game directory is set correctly, and if your playing a 3rd-party Source mod, you've read the sticky above. If you still want to delete it anyways, just do a search for it in your Steam directory.

Ah thanks, deleting that file stopped playing that song whenever I hit the play button. But instead of it playing that song it doesn't play anything now. :(

When I hit the F2 key (button I use to play/stop music) nothing plays. Its as if I'm holding my "talk" button down, so when I say something it plays what I say.

Anyway there might be something wrong with what I did. This is what I typed in console (yes I started ZM through HLDJ):

] la
Directory: C:\Documents and Settings\Zorak\Desktop\Storage\HLDJ\HLDJ\Audio
Current: America Next: Benny Hill - Yakety Sax
1. .\ 2. ..\
3. Songs\ 4. Sound Clips\
5. Benny Hill - Yakety Sax 6. Death Note - L's Theme
7. Indiana Jones Theme 8. Naruto - Beautiful Green Beast
9. O Fortuna 10. Pirates of the Carribean Theme
11. Star Wars Theme
] 9
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/hldj_selg.cfg
Loading : O Fortuna

It just stops at Loading: O Fortuna. I wait about 5minutes and its still that.

And the mod I'm mostly using HLDJ for is Zombie Master; this is my directory link: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\zombie_master

I got the green light so I'm pretty sure it's right.

EDIT:

I didn't do the special step needed for mods; I'll try tomorrow and see if it works then.

EDIT2:

It works! :D Thanks a lot dude!

Can you help me? I do not know how to load songs or convert songs to HLDJ. I try to put the sounds bits into the file but that doesnt work. I followed many tutorials but they don't help.

I also have the same problem as Zorak when he/she says the mic makes you hear your voice.
