*SOLVED* HLDJ plays old mic spams but not new ones

Post by DragonFire1170 »

So I've decided to make a few more micspams and followed the same tutorial I did for some older ones, when I test the spams on an abandoned server that has the setting that allows micspam, the new songs do not work, I see the voice transmit ! symbol, but I don't hear anything, and when I hit my start/stop key, I hear a small "pop" as if my mic was turning off, but when I load an older micspam, it plays without any issues. The game I was playing is Team Fortress 2.

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you?
Yes

2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)?
Yes

3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"?
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/hldj_cmd_b.cfg
Loaded : Doom Classic e1m1

4) After loading one of the sample audio files, perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where?
Yes, in my Team Fortress 2 directory inside of steamapps

5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game? *
Yes

If it's specific to certain sound files, it's likely a conversion error. Try using HLDJ's built-in converter, else take a look in here to make sure you got everything right: http://www.hldj.org/manual/tips_tricks. ... udioformat
