Need help converting.

Hi everyone. Im Ze and I am looking for a little bit of help. I use the program every day and it works great. I even get complaments on my sound quality. But I am having a bit of trouble. You see my favorite songs are not convertable becuase they are MPEG-4 music files. And I really want to play them. But I cant convert them. Ive tried converting them into MP3 then WAV. but its comes out sounding like a thunderstorm. . Can anyone help me?
