HLDJ won't work: no mic

so i haven't tested it on my other game L4D2 but it won't work on tf2 for me. i downloaded the 32 bit. today ( 8/12/11).


i'm 100% sure i have all the info correct.

game directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\kisstroyer\team fortress 2\tf

idk why steam downloaded to the x86 on windows 7 but it did.

the music link works because when i type LA in the console it shows my WAV clips.


so when i open the game and enter a server with "mic spam" on i open the console and type LA it shows my songs, i pick a number, lets say 10 and it tells me it loaded Live to win. so i close the console and go back to the game and i hit the hot key. at first it was F1. then i changed the override to also be F1. didn't work. so i switched the override and hotkey to ALT and still nothing.


what i think might be wrong with it is that i have no mic. i checked the audio settings.



its shows: frontmic (enabled) microphone (enabled) line in (enabled) stereo mix ( disabled).

what do?
