Files not playing

Heres the gyst. I convert the audio to .wav, set the hotkey, then launch my game. I type la into console, then my song with a number such as 3. I go into a micspam allowed server and I press the hotkey (in this case its f). When I press it, literally nothing happens. Can I get some assistance for this :/
