conversion problem
ok...so ive followed the 6 step guide for converting mp3s to wavs on audacity...i do every step it says its 11025hz, 16 bit, mono, but its still playing very slow. i made it 11025, then split stereo, then deleted the 2nd one...then made the top one mono then i made it 16 bit but its still playing suuuppper slow...it IS my music though its recognizable somewhat...but its a chicks voice made into a giant male monster growling noise....how can i fix this? its not even ingame yet...just on audacity after those changes, its still low slow
Re: conversion problem
You've changed the frequency in the wrong location, make sure you're changing it from the "Project Rate" drop-down box, lower-left of your screen.

Re: conversion problem
I'm afraid I'm having the same problem.
Now, I'm not technologically incompetent, I'm quite the opposite, I program source mods and plugins.
I have NO idea what is up with this. I followed the guide to the period but no luck.
I have set the project rate to 11025hz.
I have set the sample rate to 16-bit.
I have set the sound output to mono.
Any ideas?

Re: conversion problem
Have you tried the sample file in the sticky above? If you suspect an Audacity problem, make sure you are using a stable release (i.e. non-beta).
Re: conversion problem
It's because audacity has the compulsive urge to make clipped sections of mp3's stretch to the length of the original song >_<
I have to copy it into a empty project to make it work.
