Load one of the sample audio files and perform a search of your Steam directory (without stopping HLDJ) for the file "voice_input.wav" - does it show up, and if so, where? Yes, steam > steamapps > myusername > counterstrikesource
If it exists, open it in an audio player: does it sound like the audio file you loaded? Yes

Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a microphone, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game? Yes.
I just installed hldj x32 and created a new file called 'audio' in the hldj folder and put 150 'Wave Sound' files (they open up with windows media player and they have a blue music symbol as their picture thing) in the audio folder, then followed this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk3zmQbI ... re=related doing everything he did. So I clicked play and it opened css and I typed 'la' in console and it showed the 150 Wave Sounds so I created a server and pressed 'p' (my button that plays the sounds) and nothing happened. Literally nothing, it didn't show me talking, or anything like it does in the video. So I went on a bunch of threads in this section and none of them seemed to have the same problem and I read both stickies multiple times, but it still doesn't work.

and after creating the server you set the necessary sv_ variables before playing audio? then the game may not be installed correctly, try deleting and re-installing.the game after disabling Steam Cloud.

I unchecked "load with steam cloud" and then uninstalled and reinstalled CSS, then I uninstalled HLDJ and reinstalled it, I put 150 .wav files into a folder called 'Audiooo' and then I configured the HLDJ settings just as in the video again. Opened css, created a server and applied all of the sv_variables and pressed 'P'. Nothing happened, no microphone symbol showed up, no music played. I followed the 'help' sticky and tried creating a server again. I figured it must just not work in offline servers, so I went on like 200 online servers and same story. Did the update a few weeks ago fuck it up..?

unlikely. there's only 1 server, 1 wave file and 1 tutorial you need (all from the sticky). there's nothing wrong with your HLDJ as far as i can see.
