Help, Static+Mircophone. *Counter Strike Source*

alright, so i converted everything fine, and played it, but when i play some songs, it comes really staticy, and i cant hear any music, just noise, also sometimes when i play it, itll just be silent, and my mic will turn on.

any ideas? my brother sit his up, and his works fine,a nd when he set mine up the same way.

• Can you confirm you've heard it play properly at least once before?
(once working, always working)

• What game(s) is this for?
(if it's a third-party source mod, please read the sticky at the top of these forums)

• Are you and your brother on the same account/computer?
( make sure you've got the right game/account )

• Are you on Vista?
( you'll need to plug in your mic at least once to activate the drivers )

no i have not heard it play properly on counter strike.

and yes i have vista, now whne u say plug it in? do u mean, unplug it and re plug it back in? if so when do i do that?

I would think sometime before/during the game, there's a couple threads around with some users explaining the process, try a search here or on google. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the problem as I don't use Vista.
