TF2 Sounds load, then don't play.

Post by Rat_Kun »

I downloaded HLDJ 1.0.4.5 AND also transfered hldj_1.0.4.8.exe to where my files were under steam apps. I converted my audio files with Switch sound file converter to PCM uncompressed 11025 Hz, mono and 16 bit. I then load tf2 with hldj and i load a song. All is well. However, when i press f1 to play the sound, i hear nothing. The mic symbol is there on the bottom right of the screen. :?: I also thought that hldj couldn't handle the file size so i cut the song into a 10 second clip. Still didn't work. Maybe i need to compress it since the sound file is uncompressed? I have downloaded the sample .wav file to test out. Haven't tested it yet, will reply with result. Thanks!

The test sample music does work, but the others don't. I checked their properties: everything is the same except the file size. Does the wav file have to be under 1000KB?

No, the file size is virtually limitless; if the sample wav works fine, it's likely that your sound editor is doing something funny. Use Audacity.

p.s. all hldj exe's go in the folder where you unzipped HLDJ.
